UK snow forecast as maps show half the country buried this weekend in ‘1cm per hour’ storm

Brits could be set for another wintry barrage with new weather maps showing half of the country being buried in snow as a 1cm-per-hour storm hits the country. Weather maps from WXCharts, which uses Metdesk data, show parts of the UK turning shades of purple, indicating snowfall in the country. From 3pm on February 15 as much as 0.6cm of the white stuff will fall on Manchester, Lancashire, Cumbria, the western Scottish borders as well as western Scotland and the Highland.
